We got there by moving incredibly fast and hiring an exceptionally sharp, hard‑working and deeply committed team from leading tech and accounting companies - Ramp, Meta, Microsoft, Lyft, PwC, Deloitte, J.P. Morgan, Bloomberg, Sage, Xero and Intuit. And some of us don’t have a fancy logo on our resume and are here for a shot to prove ourselves. We’re a small team, growing fast with huge momentum - join early. As our Controller , you’ll own and drive DualEntry’s highest‑priority company initiatives and ensure our strategy translates into measurable execution across all departments including Product, Engineering, GTM, and CX. In addition, you’ll independently lead high‑impact strategic initiatives that accelerate growth and strengthen how the company operates. You’ll also work directly with the CEO and leadership team to shape key decisions and unblock critical priorities. This is an intense, hands‑on role with full ownership. We expect you to push for excellence and raise the bar. Location: New York City HQ, 7 World Trade Center Where you'll create impact Own the full accounting function end‑to‑end - month‑end close, reconciliations, controls and financial reporting Build DualEntry's financial infrastructure from the ground up: chart of accounts, accounting policies, workflows and audit‑ready controls Drive GAAP‑compliant reporting and own all technical accounting decisions Prepare DualEntry for its first external audit and maintain ongoing audit readiness Partner with the CEO, GTM and Ops to connect financial reporting to business performance ARR, burn, unit economics and board‑level narratives Support quarterly and annual planning: budgeting, forecasting and board reporting Hire and develop a small accounting team as we scale Build the financial operating model that supports our next phase of growth What sets you up for success 5+ years in accounting or finance, including hands‑on experience at a high‑growth technology company CPA required Deep expertise in multi‑entity accounting, consolidations, and close processes Strong technical accounting chops - you can navigate complex GAAP questions without outside help Experience owning or leading an ERP implementation (NetSuite, Intacct, or similar) High agency (you see what needs to be done and do it without waiting to be asked) Obsessively organized with a bias for clean systems, clear documentation, and scalable processes Strong communicator who can translate financials into business insight for non‑finance stakeholders Low ego, high ownership Excited to work in‑office 5 days/week Nice to have Experience at a VC backed or fintech company Familiarity with modern ERP and accounting infrastructure tools (Ramp, Rippling, Brex, etc.) Prior experience building an accounting function from scratch or transitioning from outsourced to in‑house Why you’ll thrive here Significant equity ownership in one of the top AI companies in the world You’re joining early and will grow with DualEntry Your feedback shapes the product directly High‑speed culture High‑trust environment with high expectations Ambitious mission - ERP is one of the largest B2B software markets in the world ($220bn per year), this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build the next generation ERP in an industry that has not seen new entrants in 30+ years Compensation & Benefits Equity: $60,000 - $80,000 Base Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 15 PTO days + 12 public holidays Full medical, dental & vision insurance Commuter benefits 401k benefits On‑site team culture - high collaboration, no bureaucracy We hire the best, expect the best, and give you the masterclass of your career - an archaic and huge industry like ERP only goes through a seismic shift like this once in a lifetime.
