Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Tablet Patrol in Cheyney, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur05:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri05:00 PM - 02:00 AMSat05:00 PM - 02:00 AMSun05:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, student concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking lots, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and observe individuals entering and leaving assigned areas, reporting suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures. Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations while maintaining a professional presence in an educational environment. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
