Surgery SchedulerSchedules inpatient and outpatient orthopedic surgeries with various surgical facilities. Provides a highest level of patient communication and service.Educational Requirements:High school diploma- Completion of technical program preferredQualifications and Skills:Strong communication skills with staff, physicians and patientsMinimum of 1 year of experience scheduling inpatient and outpatient surgeries at various surgical facilitiesExperience with insurance authorizations and medical clearancesHigh level of organizational skillsAbility to prioritize workflow in a fast-paced medical environmentGood analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of medical terminology and electronic health recordsResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Scheduling orthopedics surgeriesOrganizing and prioritizing a surgical scheduleInsurance authorizationsEHR documentationMiscellaneous office duties as assignedTypical Physical Demands:Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.Typical Working Conditions:Normal office working environment.Compensation: $24.50-$34/hr
